FH & PM Homeowner's Association Newsletter |
June 2001 |
|
All of the activities and happenings below are brought to you through your homeowner's association. We can make our neighborhood enjoyable, maintain our housing values and strengthen our neighborhood with help and support from all of you. Please join your neighborhood association and volunteer a little of your time!
EASTER EGG HUNT The Fountain Hills/Pacific Meadows Annual Easter Egg Hunt was held in the park Saturday, April 7th for kids 5th grade and under. About 120 kids participated. Each child left with a basket full of eggs. Everyone enjoyed cookies and drinks following the hunt. THANKS to Joanne Johnson for organizing this year's egg hunt and to Jim and Janette Nelson for filling all of the eggs!! BLOCK CAPTAINS Neighborhood block captains will be delivering this newsletter door-to-door. These people have agreed to help by delivering and collecting information as needed and welcoming new neighbors to our area. With information they have collected, a new neighborhood directory is being updated and will be printed and delivered soon. GARAGE SALE The Fountain Hills/Pacific Meadows Annual Garage Sale was held Thursday, June 21st thru Saturday, June 23rd. Signs were put up at the entrances and ads were placed in the paper. New Life Thrift Store has offered to pick up any unsold items. To schedule a pickup at your door call Vicki Haynes @597-6089. NEW LIGHTS AT THE PARK Two lights will be added to the North parking lot at our park. The Association Board worked with Councilman Jim Monahan and the city of Omaha to provide a more safe and secure parking lot. PARK BEAUTIFICATION We coordinated efforts with the City Parks Department to have a "clean up" day on June 16. Residents joined us at 9am to clean up our park and subdivision entrances. If you are interested in participating in future clean-ups, please contact Steve or Christine Johnson at 330-8238. We can all benefit from having attractive entrances and a clean park. Click here to view some pictures of our wonderful park! NEIGHBORHOOD WEB PAGE Our neighborhood association how has its own web page thanks to Sheryl Lee. You may view the site by going to www.pacmeadows.org. (if you are reading this, you are already there!) We will use the site to post news and information about the neighborhood and the association. We can save printing and postage costs by asking those with Internet access to get their newsletter at the site. Feel free to e-mail the association at pacificmeadows@hotmail.com or Sheryl at booklvr77@home.com with any suggestions or items you want to see posted on the website. UPCOMING EVENTS There are many other fun-filled activities for which we need committee chairs to help organize and manage. If you are interested in participating please contact Don Kubick @ 333-0481. You may also reach him via e-mail at toyluv@worldnet.att.net. |
